The YDLIDAR X4 360° Laser Scanner is the low cost 360 degree two-dimensional LiDAR. This product can perform 360 degree scan within 10-meter range. It is based on the principle of triangulation distance measurement, together with the relevant optical, electrical, algorithm design, to achieve high-frequency high-precision distance measurement.The produced 2D point cloud data can be used in mapping, localization and object/environment modeling.
The X4 is an inexpensive solution for projects that require obstacle detection, obstacle avoidance, and/or distance measurements. This product is ROS ready. The ROS package source can be found below.
NOTE: The YDLIDAR X4 works with supply voltage of 5VDC, however, the logic level of TX/RX and MOTOCTL pin is 3.3V and is not 5V tolerant. A Logic Level Converter is recommended if connect directly to a 5V device (e.g Arduino Uno and Mega).
