Introducing the new Circuit Explorer for BBC Micro:bit from SGBotic. This breakout board offers an easy way to connect additonal circuit and sensors to the micro:bit using the crocodile clips and copper tape. The back of the Circuit Explorer is made flat so that it can stick to any clean surface using double sided tape or glue tape.
The onboard regulator takes an input voltage of 4V to 6V and steps it down to 3V. The I2C pins are breakout to a male pin header for easy connection to I2C devices such as sensors, LCD, etc. Pin 8 of the micro:bit is also breakout to a SVG (Signal-Voltage-Ground) connector. This pin can be connected to NeoPixel, button, LED or any low power input/output devices.
On the edge connector, beside the usual P0, P1 and P2, there are also pinouts for the button A , B, and extra connectors for 3V and 0V.
This breakout board uses 3-pin JST connector for power input. Below is a compatible battery holder:
The Circuit Explorer is compatible with BBC Micro:bit V1 and V2.
